I like Travis,he has a little too many sappy ballads but makes up for them with his solid Southern Rockers. "My Honkytonk History" is definetly worth getting if you don't yet have it. He's going to be around for a long time.
And he deserves to be..

Hahaha.. Did Waylon say that?? Travis has so much potential,I think his label has alot to do with him letting it all go and be himself.

I appreciated him a couple of years ago when I saw him at the Opry with Hank Jr. Travis could tell that the crowd was OVERWHELMINGLY cheering for Hank. So, while Hank was still waiting off-stage, Travis looked at him and mouthed, "You man, you". That showed a lot of respect, as far as I'm concerned.

I was working with the Band Pyro in Marietta Georgia 1979, we played at the same bar as Travis. He impressed then, I knew he would make it. And still enjoy his music. Lee

My wife loves him, I tolerate him, not too big a fan. He does put on a pretty good concert though.

I have been a Travis fan from 1991. CDB and Travis did a benefit concert for the cities of Copperhill Tenn. and McCaysville Ga. which are separated only by the Ocoee River. In feb of 1990 it flooded both really bad, thank God and the citiy policeman of McCaysville, which just happened to be my husband, no one lost their lives, but the towns where both wrecked. Water is a very powerful force. We will be forever grateful to CDB and Travis for the help and the tallent which helped to rebuild our towns!!!! 8) :D

I like ole' Travis, he is a Georgia boy after all, he does put on a pretty good show and I like most of his music. I remember seeing him at The Atlanta International Horse Park several years ago, he the CDB and several others opened for HANK and I will never forget about 20 minutes before he was through the whole crowd was chanting over hime, HANK HANK HANK HANK, it was awesome and Hank put on one hell of a show that.........at least the best I can remember anyway.

Davisbloodhound, where are you from gal, I am from Blue Ridge and lived there then, I helped a friend of mine clean up his parents feed store, Collis Feed and Seed, right there on the river on the Ga side. I am also good friends with the Cheif of Police there in Mccaysville...

Hey stonewall I live about 19 miles out of Blue Ridge for the last 13 years, before that McCaysville. Had to get out away from all the BS of living in town, like to play my Hank Williams Jr. CD's just as loud as they will go. My husband is retired now, he never was the cheif cause he wouldn't kiss nobody's ass! We ain't no walk behinder's, so we move out in the mountains just as far as we could go, and I'll be damned if it ain't getting crowded around here, well country just ain't as country no more!! But I don't want to be nowhere different.

I saw him in concert and he didn't impress me too much. He must have been sick or something cuz he didn't get off of his stool the whole night. I got his DVD "live and kicking" and he does so good. He covers "Old Habits" and I think he does it justice ... along with "Long haired country boy" I think you guys should watch it. especially the ones that don't like travis. It changed my opinion

I'm really shocked that his proformance was off, I've also saw The Alive And Kicking CD, it's great lots of energy. I have saw Travis in concert 4 times, 1991 he was just starting out, 3 times 2002,2003 and Dec of 2004. I wasn't disapointed, the last 3 were kicking as the CD. The 2004 show my husband is in a powerchair, it was during his encore, he looked out at us and held up pick and pointed at my husband threw it right to him, that was really awesome!!!

Dont know How I missed this poll, If ya saw my walls ya know me a Major Tritt fan, its a toss up between Hank Jr. and Travis that I have seen in concert the most... I really wasnt sure what to hit , I think hes very good (Awesome), and under rated because he has never got the credit he deserves as a musician, singer , songwriter or Artist period.. I have even seen Travis join Hank Jr. on Stage and Hank Jr. has made statements to that fact to... The first time I ever met Travis in person, he had my hand and he said your shaking dont be nervous, I said Travis all good looking men make me nervous, and he just howled.. I think Jr. and T should do a album together I would love that... Dawnie V.

If I meet ya guys at a Hank Jr. show dont make the mistake of badmouthing Travis in front of me.. LOL...This redneck girl kick ya butt..Waylon loved Travis by the way... that was sarcasm .. because Waylon to didnt think Travis got the credit he deserves.. Hey an yes Ive heard Travis say Hank Jr. the Man.... but Hank Jr. also reconizes Travis Talents... and Travis tells a story of remebering a time when he spent the night in line for Hank Jr. Concert Tickets, now Hank Jr. one of his best buddies, Thats something most people dream of.. It was'nt sarcasm it was back when travis was havin some problems and waylon was talkin about marty stuart and how he had his head on straight and said when it comes to travis tritt I don't know what the hell is wrong with that boy. Like I said before I like some of his music and I never said waylon did'nt like him.

I like Travis ok. I really did not like that song about Great Day in the neighborhood, I thought that was really stupid. I LOVED T - R - O - U - B - L - E. I'd like to see him in concert some day. Wish he'd get a haircut!
