Who is the better fiddle player Hank Jr. or Charlie Daniels

I love Hank and he is the best man to ever play a fiddle and is damn good fiddle player, but I do feel that Charlie is the best fiddler, I mean hell he beat the devil.

I think Charlie Daniels is a great fiddle player but I have to go with Rockin Randell , The first time I ever so Hank Jr. was at a Willie Nelson 4th picnic in Atlanta in 1983 and he was wild but awesome, he got up on the piano dancing around and played the hell out of the fiddle then busted it and through it out in the crowd... I was hooked after that .. Dawnie V.

Charlie was playing the fiddle for Johnny though. Hank rocks with the fiddle don't get me wrong and he is a damn close second on the fiddle to Charlie but I have seen Charlie play it till the damn bow came apart, Hank is the man in my book and always will be, nobody better.....

Stonewall, I wasnt trying to say you are wrong!! I am no way a judge of anyone's fiddle playing skills..they both do a KICK ASS job. Since I cant tell you who is actually the "best" of the two, I choose Hank cause he is my favorite of all time at everything :D

Seems like to me Charlie has made a great reputation by being a great fiddle player. Hank is also a great fiddle player. From my personal experience of seeing Charlie play a few times, meeting him back stage once, and hearing him practice with his band before they hit the stage is an awesome experience. For me saying one is better then the other just wouldn't be right.

i was at a concert sitting in the third row, charlie daniels was drunk playing the fiddle had the whole crowd on there feet, the bow broke and he threw it in the crowd and started picking the fiddle with his fingers! that was frekin awsome :lol:

I think that fiddle playin is not Hanks FIRST LOVE, he sure is great at it, but he is also pretty damn good at alot of those instruments he plays. I bet he might even agree that CD, has an edge on him in that department.
I sure don't think CD is as versatile as Hank is... Lets see CD play as many instruments as Hank can...and do it as great as Hank can... :D
