I live in Kentucky and have been told by neighbors that Hank owns a home within 1/2 mile. Does anyone know if Hank owns a home in Kentucky? Just thought it was interesting

I think he probably frequents Louisville KY to slip around. The bars are open until 4am and they actually have a place called the "Do Drop In" in the stockyards area.

Let's face it. Most of the Mid South is just plain boring and too conservative outside of Louisianna, Nashville and Lousiville.

I've heard he is a notorious bar hopper. I was in a bar near La Tech U when I went there in the mid 1980s. He was allegedly there on a night where cheap drinks and many college coeds were there (Jackson Parrish line near Lincoln Parrish - JJ's).

Unless he is a very large person, I think he would blend into the area very well. He would stick-out in the Washington DC area where I live now. Just exactly how tall is he?

Re: Slipping around. Years ago he liked to party. This was before he settled down. Now most of the slipping around is to PTA and IGA.

yldstrk,

I'm talking about Hank Jr. I do not know anything about his son. Given what I've heard about his musical tastes (Punk), I don't know how he can bridge that sound with country, R&B, and other forms of string music.

My wife had a very negative view of his art until she heard him do the Gershwin song, "Ain't Misbehavin", from Porgy and Bess. Then she bought tickets to a tribute to Hank Sr. at the Birchmere. Women, go figure.

I'll try to catch him in Richmond VA at the state fair in September. he must be allergic to the immediate Washington DC area (or scared of terrorism). This is a shame since the military folks generally flock to country concerts. Darrel Worley played " at the Pentagon (across the street from my residence.
