View Full Version : Hank Jr, Paducah KY????

Can someone tell me what this is all about? Its listed on the tour schedule for August 13th.

Of course like many here on this board I'm a big Hank Jr fan, for a long time. I will be seeing Hank Jr for my 25th time this Saturday at DTE (Detroit, Michigan). I've also seen him earlier this year in Tampa, Florida. Well Paducah, is where my Red Neck Country Hick cousins live. No thats not a slam. I couldn't picture my life without them. Besides you should hear what they call me for being a Norhern Yankee. There the ones that introduced me to Hank Jr when I was 13 years old, back in the days of vinyl. We've seen Hank Jr a few times together. Last time was when they came to visit me last year in Michigan. I'm looking to take a trip to see my cousins sometime soon. However I couldn't figure out a date that would work. Well today I noticed this tour date in their backyard. So it quickly made up my mind of when I will travel to Kentucky. I'm just wondering if anyone on this board has more information.

Wheres the concert at? Is it a paid or free concert? If I recall doesn't Paducah have there party on the river that weekend. Is Hank playing there? Any information would be appreciated.

He is at the executive inn. the room holds 4400 so there won't be a bad seat. see you there

Last count they hadn't decided whether to hold the concert inside or outside. They had the Beach Boys outside.

According to the Executive Inn this AM, the concert is inside the EXPO.

Hank will be at www.jrsexecutiveinn.com If you are wanting tickets,you better hurry.I'm not sure if there are any left.I ordered ours a couple of hours after they went on sale and they next day,WKYQ announced that tickets were going quick and seating was getting limited.
I'm soooo excited! This is my first time to see Hank Jr. :D

First Hank concert, you are gonna have a ball, I can hardly remember my first concert, come to think of it I can hardly remember any of the 28 times. But they are awesome. You are gonna have a blast believe me.

Well the show in Paducah is sold out.My tickets finally came in the mail friday,I was getting a little worried.Turns out there was a delay in the printing.Stonewall,I know I'm in for a hellacious time. :lol: And just 5 more days. :D WooHoo!!!

Be sure to watch your "P's and Q's" in this town. I live here and just a word to the people that don't know this place. He nearly walked off the last time he was here at the riverfront. The local police were hassling the fans and posted an officer on each side of the stage. His Roadmanager, Al Halterman, gave them fair warning and they cleared off. The local Aux. police are even worse. Be very cautious and careful.
