you are entitled to your oppinion although it sucks. shelton is the real deal. he is out there bustin his ass playin 3 sets a night, tourin constantly, and always writin new songs. he gives 100% every show and he will play anywhere they book him no matter how big of a dive it is... he brings the music to the people... he dont do all this pop cUntry bullshit, he plays REAL country and you can tell he feels what he sings...

III is REAL country... III is real PUNK rock...

if you're gonna call shelton's music crap then i challenge you to record a better album than "lovesick broke and driftin" and then get back to me

Easy, boys. :roll: Let's keep it civilized. We just had to remove a post because everybody got there panties in a wad over Shelton and Randall. I like Shelton a lot. In fact, if you'll notice in the pictures from Hank's Birmingham concert, I'm wearing a III shirt. But, this is a board about Hank Williams, Jr. There's a lot of controversy and, frankly, it's none of our business. (That's a nice way of saying it's none of YOUR business.) :wink:

I will say this much: The next time that anyone says III is a waste of talent, that post will be deleted (Courtesy of Rebel Son). I could win a debate with any of you if I only had the energy, but quite honestly the subject tires me.

Quite frankly I never listened to Hank III so I can't form an oppinion I spend all my time listening to Hank Jr. :D Anyways everyone should just ;mind on this particular subject I think.

I'm just reminding everybody to say it in a respectful way to each other. We Admins/Mods hate it when we have to remove a post, and we've seen enough posts about Shelton on here to know that people have very polarized opinions about him. Folks either love him or they hate him, and they tend to get "hot under the collar" when they are discussing him.

We don't want to remove ANY post that has potential for good discussion. But we are discussing HANK'S FAMILY when we discuss Shelton. So, we all need to understand that, and try to abstain from such generalizations and anger. If you all can't understand that, then I suppose it is only a matter of time until this post is removed, too. But, I would hope that we don't just keep going around and around in the same circle. :roll:

If Hank lll crank's your tractor more power to ya. I don't HATE him, heck he's Jr's son and Sr's grandson! I wish him all the best in life. His music just isn't for me, but I do see alot of his grand daddy in him, especially his rebellion side.

It's going to be country for sure. I here it's supposed to be a two disc cd
the first is going to be all songs, but the second is going to have one song
and then like 45 minutes of rambling music, that part will be pretty strange but the rest should be great.

and the 2nd is something which was described by comof.
That could change,Curb is really messing with this release.
He is basically screwing with III for all the past b.s. :roll:

I think the delay is only partially the label's fault. It says on Shelton's website that the issue was more with Wal-Mart refusing to carry the album since it will have a explicit lyric sticker on it.

Hence, the two versions of the album... (one walmart will carry, and one they won't).

I've heard some of the songs, and I can already tell you this is the best of his three releases by far. This is his "Hank Jr and Friends" .... the album where he establishes the sound HE wants to have.
