Finally, opening day. yep, it's man against beast. the hunter vs the hunted. With only my shotgun for protection, this evening, I will take cover in an open field where hundreds of speeding birds will hastily dive into my area. Unknowing to them I will raise my gun barrel and fire in a deperate attempt to stop these dangerous creatures called "DOVES" from eating my millet and grain. They will attack by the hundreds but I will stand my ground without fear! If I make it back safely, I will post my results. Until then..........think of me......

Saturday was definitely hot in the field. I took cover under an old pine in the middle of the field, which left looking directly into the sun when the birds flew over the tree line. Still managed to bag my limit though :wink:
must be getting better, shot more birds with less shells this year.

Hey man! I know, I don't hit the keyboard that much anymore. But I'm still around and I think about my rowdie family. I just need to find more time to do all the things I want to do.

Yeah, I hate it that "life" in general gets in the way sometimes......but, it has to happen that way I reckon....

In the summer, when I can be on a 2nd/3rd shift schedule...I get alot more time for the boards...but now...hardly none...

As for the wine; I'm not bragging but i also make that. It's homemade muscadine wine under my own label; Walden Wines. I started that about six years ago, and yes, the same man who taught me how to bbq a hog, showed me how to make my own wine. (and another beverage) :lol:
