That first pic looks like the Oak Alley Plantation just outside of Baton Rouge, we just took a tour there a few months ago, very cool! The trees are Virginia Live Oaks, planted in 1706. At that time there was just a small cabin where the house now sits. The trees went all the way to the bank of the Mississippi River. There's a levee in the way now though. If that ain't Oak Alley, it sure looks like it!

That first pic looks like the Oak Alley Plantation just outside of Baton Rouge, we just took a tour there a few months ago, very cool! The trees are Virginia Live Oaks, planted in 1706. Yep that's right, our friends actually live in Gonzales, I should'a said that in the first place. here's what it looks like now, they laid paving bricks not too long ago. http://www.oakalleyplantation.com/ Probably not the same exact plantation, but very close by.
