Also, there is a Ted's Montana Grill next door and the Hard Rock isn't too far. Let me know if any of yall want to get together. There will be about 8 of us. How bout it Stonewall, Hoss, Bulldawg?

HTS and I are planning to go to Atlanta, but we kinda thought about driving back after the show, since it is not very far away. Haven't really decided yet, but we would love to get together and I love Ted's bison burgers. :D

East Lake Meadows are some high dollar places next to the PGA country club there. There are still some very rough areas around the Ga dome though!

We're going to the concert, but more than likely going back home afterwards. I guess it depends on if one of us (me, bulldawg, little joe, doublebarrel), agrees to be the designated driver.

Uncle Mark is coming over tomorrow to discuss our trip to Atlanta. I am still hoping that it will coincide with the Hank show, even if we can't make the actual concert.

Is there a general concensus of where everyone will be staying??

Wow, I just realized that this concert is only about 2 weeks away. I feel like I am going to 3 Hank shows-in-a-row. Man, I know Bocephus likes his hunting and fishing, but I sure kinda wish they could have spread out the tour dates a little further apart. :? This June 1 show will be the last one for me, unless he adds some more (which doesn't appear likely). The problem will come sometime around next winter, when I realize that it has been 5-6 months since I heard any decent music.

What are we doing, and where are we meeting for this concert? Doe and I had discussed the possibility of riding MARTA so that we wouldn't have to worry about traffic and parking downtown. What is everyone else doing? I don't have any earthly idea whether there are any restaurants or bars nearby the arena. Should we just drive, instead? Last time I rode MARTA, I encountered a man who looked very much like a chicken and he was singing some sort of Hindu prayer. :? Very loudly.

The Lovely and Hank Fan Famous Hard Rock Cafe is close and like AT said CNN center might be a good place. We are staying the whole weekend with the kids but not sure where yet, all I know is that it has to have a swimming pool. I don't do MARTA unless it's an emergency

You must be high man, especially sporting a HWJ T shirt?? ANyone remember the protest that was going on outside of the Fox a few years ago after the Hank concert?? Marta would be bad news man, hate to sound predjudice but its for the best. Someone find me a ticket and I will gladly drive 3 others downtown with me and pay for parking. I have to stay sober that night since I work the next day.

CNN center is my best suggestion since its very big, has plenty of food and beer places. It being a Friday night most food places in the area like Hard rock will be jam packed. If you do goro Hard Rock tell Brad that JJ sent you and he will hook you up on some drinks at the bar. I have known the guy for years.

Man, I grew up in the ATL. I ain't skeered of MARTA,  especially when you consider that the whole Phillips Arena will be full of people taking MARTA after the show.. I'm just wondering which might be more convenient.

I done went and got one of them VIP cards for HRC like Hoss, so we shouldn't have a problem getting in there if yall want to and with AT's buddy there helping out with the drinks is should be cool. BTW the VIP card is a great deal. cost's 29 bucks, has a 20 dollar credit on it for 20 bucks off and you get another 20 for every 200 you spend. Also had two cool hat pins, which are 11 bucks each at HRC and a cool little bag that I would guess to cost 15 or so so if you add it up that's about 57 dollars for 29, not too bad.

We always just park at or near Phillips Arena, mainly because MARTA is a pain the butt to me. Mass transit just annoys the crap outta me. Meeting at the CNN center is fine with us. The restaurants in the area will be very crowded for sure.

I totally forgot about that VIP card. I guess if I've got one and so do you, we might be able to get seated in a reasonable amount of time. Hard Rock said that with the one card you can seat up to 20 people. I'll do whatever everybody wants to do.
