Will Hank always be opening up for Lynyard Skynyard. I seen a news clip from the Skynyard website ( http://www.lynyrdskynyrd.com/news.php?id=29 ) that Skynyard opened the show for Hank. But the posts that I'm seeing here Hank is opening for Skynyard. Are they Alternating?

You see I'm taking my girlfriend of a year to her very first Hank concert. Personal with me this will be 35 Hank Shows. I'm a huge Hank fan, and try and see him 3 to 4 times a year. Even if it mean me flying to see him. I'm so dedicated that I duck out of standing up in my cousins wedding for a little bit. And in my Tux with my shinny shoes I went to the Hank concert and made it back to wrap up the night. Talk about Hank fans looking at me strange in a Tux at a concert. But once I told them what I did, a few of them bought me a beer.

So getting back to the girlfriend. I told her from the very start of our relationship. That I have lost plenty of girlfriends, because they broke one of my 3 happiness points. Those are Beer, Hank, and Sex. I told my current girlfriend that those 3 things must be in my life on a weekly basis or break-ups happen.

So because this is my first concert with my current girlfriend. I spent $380 bucks on two ticket, so that were 2nd row dead center of the stage. I'm taking her to see HANK. But if Hank is getting the shorter set, I'm going to be T'd off. I guess if that happens. I will sit in the seats I have for Hank. Then when Sknynard comes on. I will listen to them from the company suite, and enjoy the beer and food from there.

Does anyone know?

Hank has closed some and Skynryd has closed some. But it will be good regardless.

First, welcome to the board. :D I posted a reply to you under the "Montana Cafe" section, but I think each venue will be selecting who goes first and who goes last. If history is any indication on this tour, I think you might want Hank to go first, because when he went last in Huntsville he only played for a little over an hour. :-(

Radios still say L/S and 38 will open for Bopcephus. But of course, Hank is a big sell pitch when he comes to Nashville.

Yeah I'm heading to the show next Saturday in Aurburn Hills Michigan. The good thing that helps me out is that it seems that Hank always play once a year in the area.

Yes don't get me wrong Skynyard rocks too. I've seen them a few times. However there is nothing better then being up close during that intimate moment of just Hank and his guitar. Thats why I dumped the money into the seats I did.

But I agree it'll be an awesome show either way it turns out. I'm just hoping Kid Rock joins him too, along with Skynyard. That will be a double ++ for me.

I actually joined this forum to ask the same question. I just assumed that Hank would close all the shows since he seems like the more legendary of the two. I mean Skynyrd's great, but I bought the tix to see Hank. I'm seein him in Hershey, PA on the fourth of April.

If what the above poster said is true about the venues deciding...I really hope the GIANT Center believes most of the fans are there to see Bocephus and realize that he must be the final act.

Glad I found this forum!

Honestly I think they just sort of switch it around, last year one would close on Friday night and the other on Saturday, BOTH concerts I attended last year, Nashville and Atlanta, were close by Skynyrd. Though is seems unfair to us loyal Hanksters, it really doesn't matter at the time they play seems to be the same whether first or second. GOD please don't send us Rowdy Frynds III

Thanks for the reply stonewall.

I'm just wondering... why wouldn't want another Rowdy Frynds tour? Rather Hank just do his own big tour or what? Although I've been a fan of Hank for a while this will be the first time I see him live. But just want to know your thoughts on this tour.
