No 38 special for sure, should be Chirs Janson.
Don't know about who will be closing, Hank or Skynyrd, whoever closes friday in Ky it will be the other to close in Mo.

If You Don’t Like Hank Williams
Chris Janson opened up and kicked the night off right. He’s a local boi from Sullivan, MO. His band was cookin’ and the best song I heard was somethin’ along the lines of,”I’m A Hillbilly Rockabilly Honky Tonkin’ Freak.” Janson was energetic and played some feverish harmonica on this track.
Next up was Lynard Skynard. They played approximately 90 minutes of the hits. I was surprised a how much I liked them. Initially, I was skeptical, thinking that this band was like The Beach Boys…not much of the original band but they definitely had the spirit of Lynard Skynard onstage with them. The three guitarists attack was heavy. You can’t deny those hits, those riffs….those words…after they finished up their set, I was even thinkin’,”Hank’s got his work cut out for him,”…
And then Hank Williams, Jr. walked onstage and just tore the mother****er up. Like it was second nature. His band was cookin’ with gas!! The pot was on high!! He played an awe-inspiring set…there were a more few tunes I’d had liked to hear...but I can’t complain—he played electric tunes, an acoustic set, and a piano medley. He meant business. Real old school. The whole arena sang along with almost every tune. “Dinasaur,” was a surprise. “Walk The Line,” was tremendous. “Family Tradition,” was a barn-burner. A real gutbucket blues rock, country, rhythm and blues roof raisin’ boogie woogie!! “Kaw-Liga,” was stellar!! He sang his own songs, sang his daddy’s songs, and sang some of his mentors and heroes songs. I couldn’t ask for more—simply and purely one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to. ALL HELL YEAH!!

Ahhh yeah this was one helluva  show...fo' sho'...Hank Williams, Jr. is one bad mofo(you can't say the F word @ HankFans.com, Rock :D )...he had a good line about how the tour made the Fortune 500...I was surprized that Bocephus and Lynard Skynard didn't play together on any tunes...'specially since Hank,Jr. has played so many LS tunes befo'...some of my mos' favorite tunes were his send ups of 'em ol' Hank, Sr. tunes...
Ya'll see...this here is where it's at...I missed the boat on Jr. for a lotta years nah nah yezz...I was a Hank Sr. fan...and that was it...then I heard this band called the Wyld Stallions(named after the band in Bill And Ted's Bogus Adventure) play a lil' ol' tune called Family Tradition...they country-fied the beginning and then rocked it up in the end...kinda likes Ice Cream Man if ya can dig it...found out Family Tradition was a Bocephus tune...well, damn I wonder if he's got any mo' tunes like that...
Then, I started doin' some camping, fishing, and hunting...and A LOT of the soundtrack to that(or the drinkin' befo' and afta) was Hank Williams, Jr.--and great God Almighty...I was won over quickly--awesome tunes, awesome lyrics...I was AMAZED...I should have been listenin' to him for years!!
An' I'm crazy about them blues...and Law'd have mercy...Bocephus is a bluesman sho' nuff'...
An' Ize also really into what covers a band plays...tells me a whole lotta right there...I like bands that have one foot in the past, one foot in the future...and they seize the moment, freeze the moment, can you dig it??...and if a band cain't work up an ol' blues or an ol' rockabilly classic or a jazz tune...well, I ain't gwine-a spend my $ on 'em...nah naw nah...a how how how how...
So Ize started checkin' out some Hank Jr. records, too...Montana Cafe...Three Hanks...That's How They Do It In Dixie...an' Ive been whiskey bent and hellbound ebah since...
I'm not so much of a Kid Rock fan...but when he's rockin' and a rollin' with ol' Bo'...I can dig what theys puttin' down nah nah yezz yezz...
