my cousin is selling her house and she had her neighbor doing some work on it, her husband came home unexpectedly for lunch and found the guy was not there, so he went to his house and said the guy acted funny, so jason, my cousins husband started looking for a movie that a friend had let him borrow to return it( the whole reason he came home in the first place) he said he left it in a drawer and it was gone. anyways they looked everywhere for the movie, the next day when the guy came back the movie was magically back in the drawer. they were saving a few thousand $ having this guy do the work, but is he a stealer, or a borrower without permission, he did bring it back, but he went in her stuff. she dont know what to do, let him come back, or spend a whole lot more $$$$ getting someone else. what would yall do?

The money they save may be lost in stuff that gets stolen. I don't know if I could have a thief like that rambling around my house.

Boy what an uncomfortable situation being neighbors and all. Probably the best thing to do would be to get it out in the open. Let the guy know the jig is up. Give him another chance. If that don't work burn the house down:lol: If it is just the movie and he brought it back give him another chance. But they need to let him know that they know. Maybe the shame will keep him from taking anything else.

thats kinda what i though too wily, i think he just wanted to go home and watch the movie before anyone got home, and with it being in the bottom of a drawer he probably thought nobody would be looking for it that day, but why was he looking in her drawer in the first place? thats the part thats kinda iffy.

I dunno. Anyone who would snoop a little, might also snoop a LOT. :? I'm kind of a private person. I even have a webcam at home that I can view at work, because I know that my landlord has a key to my door, and I don't trust ANYBODY. So, I voted for finding someone else.

I hadn't really thought that far ahead. I guess 911 would be a bad idea. And I work 30 minutes away, so it's not like I can just zip right over. ;scr CRAP, it looks like I'm gonna have to rig up some explosives, or something.

If you can't trust someone you can't let them in your house is my thoughts.

the last time i talked to her she couldnt find anyone to do the work, except for about triple the price, she was thinking of telling her husband to let him know that they knew he took the movie, and if anything else was missing they'd call the police, but still let him do the work, cause she cant sell her house until they do it. i told her to take all her valuables in her car to work with her.
