I wish there was a contest. Only 2 people entered the beef category. Me with my bacon cheddar burger, and some lady with her beef short ribs.
I won!;woohoo
I just hope that there are more people entering next year.

Part of the prize for winning was to march in the parade wearing the apron awarded.
I was never in a parade and never thought of what the view of someone in a parade was like. Here are some pics.

Haha, man, those pics brought back some memories. Schade's pizza with pepperoni and bacon...mmmm.
And the time I played drums at a birthday party for a statue of a mule right close to the church there. Yeah, that was interesting.

Yeah, you read that right.
See, during my first year at West Point (I went there for two years before saying "yeah guys, this really ain't my thing, so I'm gonna roll back to Mississippi") they put up a statue of a mule outside the gates. The mule was one of the mascots for the academy's football team, due to the historic relationship between the U.S. Army and pack mules.
This was a particularly special mule, I reckon, seeing as how he has a statue now.
Anyway, for the one year anniversary of the raising of the mule statue, the USMA Cadet Band was "requested" (if by requested you understand I mean "ordered") to go play Happy Birthday for this statue of a mule.
After we finished playing Happy Birthday, I kid you not, there was a funeral procession coming out of the Episcopalian (I think it's Episcopalian...) church right there close to the gates, and a clown walking down the street...who just happened to look like he was leading the funeral procession at that particular point in time.
That sight is forever etched in my memory.
I turned to my buddy who played drums with me and said "man, you ever feel like you've taken some really bad drugs? Because that's how I feel right now."
