I watched it when I was a kid. We watched the old WCW. But I just lost interest. It seems like it became so over-dramatic, like really poor acting. :?

Same. I can't get into it, and the story lines have gotten really raunchy, last I'd seen. I'd rather watch Criminal Minds. Better acting.

Not a fan anymore. I used to watch the old Memphis wrestling with Jerry Lawler years ago and me and some friends were into Stone Cold Steve Austin for awhile but I haven't watched any wrestling in years.

I am old school! Dusty Rhodes was my favorite and got to see him when I was 9 against Ernie Ladd! Ladd banged Dusty's head into the rail, and I got frantic, crying and screaming "he's killing Dusty!". My mom wouldn't take me the following week and I missed seeing Andre the Giant!

Today, I watch WWE On Demand 'cause they have alot of the stuff from the territories from the 70's-80's. They also do a round table with the older guys that is awesome!

I used to make belts out of paper bags and wear around the house! I'll try to find pix!

Very soon, I'm gonna get a replica of the "10 pounds of Gold"!

Hard one for me to answer. Where I'm in the business, I know all the gimmicks and too much behind the scenes stuff. I have to go with WWE though, because TNA is just rehashing the same stuff that burned WCW back in the day, and ROH is full of talent, but they're slowly going sub-par. WWE is actually working some fresh angles and it's getting interesting. But in my opinion, CWA is the best damn indy promotion of all! http://www.championshipwrestlingtv.com

Ricky Morton is still working? Wow!

Cheap plug for the crew I'm with, but yeah, Punky is still working! He works for a few promotions around the area and still travels too. Word has it that he flew to LA a while back to work on something (on screen part, I believe) for "The Wrestler 2".

I like RoH, but TNA is my favorite I mean look at it...

Hogan/Bischoff running the show
RVD as world champ
Kurt Angle, Mr Anderson, Jeff Hardy, Jeff Jarrett, Ric Flair, AJ Styles...

TNA is the best of todays stars, not to mention WCW and the old WWF, and the real ECW!!!

*** Shark Boy counted as TNA original because his one month run in WCW does not amount to anything, AJ Styles also wrestled a match on Monday nitro once

My point is why should it matter if some TNA talent have been in WWE? WCW AND ECW ARE DEAD SO WHY SHOULD IT MATTER THAT THE BEST OF THEIR TALENT ARE NOW IN TNA?

At least when TNA gets talent they make stars, The talent WWE have stole from TNA... two prime examples

In TNA "Wildcat" Chris Harris was a force in the tag team division, multi time champion and competed for the NWA World Title twice.
In WWE "Wildcat" Chris Harris was renamed Braden Walker jobbed on ECW a few times, then released.

IN TNA "The Alpha Male" Monty Brown was a feared competitor in the heavyweight division, always in contention for the NWA World Title
Much like Harris, brown joined WWE, was renamed Marcus Cor Von, jobbed on ECW then vanished..

K-Kwik Joined TNA after years of being misused in WWE.
IN TNA K-KWIK was known as Ron The truth Killings and became the first black NWA World Champion, having 2 respectable reigns.
now back in WWE, Ron Killings is R-truth and stuck in the midcard.

How about Christian? A Mid card comedy act for years in WWE. Come to TNA, 2 time NWA World Champion a very popular Main Eventer and a
founding member of the Main Event Mafia... Back in WWE, Christian was placed on ECW, now back to the midcard.

OK, alabamaredneck, you've made a damn good point. Let me crank up some good music (Montana Cafe) and I'll elaborate a little bit...

I'm in the indy business. I know about the ins and outs of professional wrestling. To be totally honest with you, WWE and TNA are both jokes. The do the same bull s**t over and over because the fans love it. You ask any worker, ANY one of them, and they'll say the same thing. When a cow gives good milk, you use it. But if you milk it too much, it gets sour.

I can't argue with you too much on your points. TNA does have some damn good workers. AJ Styles would shoot whoop Matt Sydel (Evan Bourne) any day of the week. (There's a good example of under utilized talent in WWE.) Samoa Joe is another one thats got good skills.

But here's my take on some major problems with TNA:

1: There's a certain time when you should just hang up your boots. Ric Flair. He "retired" from wrestling and WWE. He got a curtain call from the entire locker room and staff on Raw the night after Wrestlemania 25. Going to TNA was a stab in the back to not only WWE, but to millions of fans as well. Now there's a "comedy act" if I've ever seen one.

2: Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Sean Waltman, Eric Bischoff. The Cliq. nWo. The beginning of the end of WCW. Were they over with the fans? Yes. Did it grow old very quickly and start to suck? Yes. Was that the only reason WCW ultimately tanked? No, but it was a big stock holder. Can Vince Russo see a mistake and learn from it? Hell no.

3: A four-sided ring. Part of the reason I started to get into TNA was the Hexagon ring. Different. It made for a very interesting show. When they decided to be "normal", I hated it. I never have thought it to be the same since. That's not only a personal gripe, there's a lot of people that would agree with me.

Now, There's one thing I've gotta say about the TNA workers. The have GOT to love the business. Pay outs come from somebody's personal pocket, because there's not much residual income. The love of the sport is all that I can come up with. Probably just a pure lucky streak that Dixie came along with daddy's wallet to spice things up a bit with Hogan and Flair and the rest of the entourage that came with it. That way they can play on TV and make some (not a LOT of) extra play money. (Dixie's daddy is an oil tycoon, if you're wondering how he comes into play. He's got the money to give to Dixie, and Jeff has the experience to put it all together and get the right people to play the game.)

That's the only reason I would build a big, nice play house on somebody else's dollar, then throw in a lit match (Hogan, Bischoff, etc.), and watch it burn to the ground.

I'm not saying that Vince McMahon has a better product, cause heaven knows I'm sick of John Cena in every main event. But my outlook on TNA now is like this: Once the dog pisses on the computer, it's useless.

The "sell out crowds" you see on TNA every week are not what they seem when compared to WWE...

Now, there's the obvious ways that both companies make profits. Merchandise, DVD, PPV, etc. They both sell tickets to house shows and PPVs. But, while WWE sells tickets to two weekly television tapings in very large arenas, admission to TNA's weekly television shows are free to the general public. Now there's some reasoning behind this.

In case some people didn't know, TNA Impact is filmed / broadcast from Universal Studios Florida. People that have paid park admission get "priority admission" to the show, but oddly enough, some locals are seen in the same spot every week. On top of that, Max admission for the show is roughly 375 if memory serves me correctly. It's easy to pack the soundstage with that few number of seats. Regardless, there's probably an overhead paid by Universal / NBC / whoever runs that place now. But that's doubtfully the same income that you would be getting from normal ticket sales.

They tried the live on Monday night deal that didn't work out. But still, it was "free" shows, but I've already covered that topic for a minute. Before that, when they were on Thursdays, (like they are now), they tape two weeks of shows on Monday nights, obviously every two weeks. (The reason behind that is plain and simple: They come here while the biggest guys are on TV, that way they miss the show.) So, the obvious math will say that one audience per week will make more money than one audience every two weeks. But back to my point, you can't make money when you're not charging anything!

Now, how can you make a profit on an investment when there's not that much there (and I'm just speaking money, not talent, or lack thereof)?

That's my little soapbox rant on TNA. Agree with me or not, love it or hate it, that's how I see it. And it didn't take too long to write either. Like I said, I turned on the "Major Moves" album when I started, and "Wild And Blue" just came on as I started this sentence.

At the tapings last night The ECW originals Tommy Dreamer, Raven, Rhino and Steven Richards attacked Abyss to save RVD, some TNA talent came to help Abyss, but Al Snow and some other former ECW stars debuted and beat up the TNA talent, everyone thought Tommy Dreamer was the leader until MICK FOLEY appeared!

To further explain Monday's tapings, and get more of my point across, here's a friends post on a message board for some of the guys "inside" that I'm a member of...

*!*!*!*!*!*!*!* SPOILER ALERT *!*!*!*!*!*!*!*

I have said it before...I can't believe grown men write this shit! It's a shame that guy's like Dutch Mantell and Jim Cornette get the shaft and we get stuck getting refried WWE or twice baked WCW. The latest involves the ECW Invasion..no, thats never been done before. Heres what went down at the Impact tapings:

Dixie confronted Dreamer at the end of the show. He asked Carter to give everyone "one last night." Carter agreed, but only if the former ECW crew have "full control" of the PPV. Dreamer promised they were going to take the Impact Zone "to the Extreme."

As far as I know, the above really happened...as crazy as it sounds. The company deserves to go belly up if they aren't gonna be anymore original than that. We've already watched this shit on WWE..a few times at that and shit it is because its just gonna be another lame attempt to draw off of the original ECW. I'm gonna tweet with Dixie later and give her my idea for the ppv name....One Night Stand!! I think it would be perfect and like alot of stuff in TNA, its never been done.
