I respected Steinbrenner's accomplishments but never cared for him or the Yankees. I did love the portrayal of him on the Seinfeld episodes.

i agree. except instead never cared for the yankees, i'd say i despise the yanks with all my heart & soul. george grew up 45 mins from my hometown. though there was 48 yrs difference between us. r.i.p. george.
